Who We Are

The Unspoken Hero Society is a patient-led, Community Health Worker (CHW)-led organization founded by individuals with lived experience of sickle cell disease. We understand the challenges of navigating complex healthcare systems because we've lived them.

Our mission is to empower individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease, rare diseases, and chronic illnesses through health navigation, patient advocacy, education, care transition support, and connections to trusted community resources.

We believe no one should face their healthcare journey alone. Through compassionate, community-based care, we help people overcome barriers, build confidence, and access the support they deserve.
